EXTRAS:
*In the novelization of 'Halloween' (1978), Michael broke a guard's neck during his escape, and also ripped out half of a nurse's head of hair. In addition, Annie was strangled, but instead of having her throat slit, she was stabbed in the stomach.
*In 'Halloween II' (1981), Jimmy (Lance Guest) slipped and fell on a pool of blood and knocked himself out, and later passes out again. His true whereabouts were unknown after that, so its unclear if he is alive or dead, even though he is shown as a survivor in the Television Cut of the film. Also, instead of having his throat slit, The Marshal (John Zenda) is stabbed in the back in the Television Cut.
*In the 1981 Jack Martin novelization of 'Halloween II', Budd (Leo Rossi) is strangled, just in much more detail. While it is not revealed theatrically, it is explained in the book that Michael used a stethoscope to do the deed. In addition to that, Nurse Jill (Tawny Moyer)'s death was a little bit different as well. In the book, Michael uses both hands to lift her off of the ground, then balances her with just the hand stabbing her with the scalpel.
*In 'Halloween III: Season Of The Witch', there may have been other factory workers killed during the premature TV transmission, but we only included the nine shown onscreen. Also, we don't know the aftermath of what happened at the end of the film, and if the third commercial was stopped in time by Challis. If so, no one else would need to be added to the list. If not, then the "hills may have ran red with the blood of animals and children".
*In the 1988 novelization of 'Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers', it was revealed that Deputy Pierce (Michael Flynn) and two other deputies were killed during Michael's police station massacre. In addition, the death of Jamie's dog, Sunday, was described in real-time, as Michael broke its neck and ripped its head completely off. In the 2003 expanded novelization, Jack Sayer (Carmen Filpi) had his eyes gouged out by Michael, but was taken to the hospital and presumably survived. Also, two mechanics were killed with the metal rod at the gas station, not just one.
*In 'Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers', it was never revealed who else died at the Children's Clinic with Dr. Hart and Nurse Patsey. It is also unknown how many cops were killed at the police station by the Man in Black. We've only included the ones shown on screen, along with Sheriff Meeker, who was in the station at the time, and Deputy Tony, who was with Jamie and ran back in when the gunfire began. There was also a dead rat found at the Myers House by Dr. Loomis.
*In 'Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers', it is impossible to determine how many doctors were killed by Michael at the sanitarium. We've only included the 9 caught on screen. In addition, some of the kills were a little different in the Producer's Cut, so be sure to check out that page for full details.
*In 'Halloween: Resurrection', it was implied at the end of the film that Michael kills the morgue attendant, but that death was unconfirmed. In addition, in an alternate cut of the film, some of the deaths were different. These included Willie (Dan Joffre), who was stabbed to death; Donna (Daisy McCrackin), who walked into her death; and Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis), who fell to her death on the concrete instead of the woods. Also, Freddie (Busta Rhymes) did not survive originally, and was choked to death, the death of Nora (Tyra Banks) was shown on screen, and a CSI agent was implied dead in an alternate ending, but that was also unconfirmed. Michael (Brad Loree), in a separate alternate ending, was axed in the face by Sara.
*In 'Halloween (2007)', several death scenes were omitted or changed throughout the various versions of the film. In the workprint, Grant Clark (Ezra Buzzington) was strangled to death when Michael steals Judith's tombstone. In the workprint and unrated versions, Kendall Jacks (Courtney Gains) and Noel Kluggs (Lew Temple) both had their heads smashed against the wall in an alternate escape scene. In a third version of the escape, two security guards (uncredited) are strangled to death and thrown through a window by Michael, who then walks out the back door. In the workprint, Bob (Nick Mennell) was dragged into his van and stabbed to death. In an alternate ending of the film, Michael (Tyler Mane) is shot to death by police after releasing Laurie to Loomis. And, in a scene cut from the film entirely, Annie (Danielle Harris) dies and is covered up and loaded into an ambulance by Sheriff Brackett (Brad Dourif). There were also several animals killed or found dead in the film, including a dog, cat, fox, and Michael's pet rat, Elvis.
*In the Unrated Director's Cut of 'Halloween II' (2009), Michael (Tyler Mane) gets shot to death by police after stabbing Dr. Loomis (Malcolm McDowell) in the stomach outside the shack. After that, Laurie (Scout-Taylor Compton) emerges and grabs the butcher knife and stands over Loomis, then was accidentally shot to death by police. There was also a body pit at Haddonfield General that Laurie encountered in the beginning of the film that was removed from the theatrical release. In addition, in another cut scene, a Beer Truck Driver (Ezra Buzzington) finds the bodies of Lou, Misty, and Howard the following morning at the Rabbit In Red. He was then attacked by Michael, and his throat was slit.
*In 'Halloween' (2018), it is unknown how many of the inmates escaped or were killed by Michael during the bus crash. When reviewing the aftermath with Officer Hawkins, Sheriff Barker (Omar Dorsey) only stated that the remaining inmates were being "rounded up". Their fates remain unknown.
*In the novelization of 'Halloween Kills' (2021), the firefighters had names and backstories, and their deaths were more elaborate than what was shown in the film. Later, while discussing their plans at the hospital, Tommy (Anthony Michael Hall) revealed to Lonnie (Robert Longstreet) that an officer told him there were a total of 11 first responders killed at Laurie's compound. In addition, Sheriff Barker (Omar Dorsey) found those bodies and other body parts strewn across Laurie's compound, and tripped over one that no longer had a face. It was also later revealed that Sondra (Diva Tyler) was impaled in the neck with a broken fluorescent tube, but survived.
