The second of Tor Books' 'Freddy Krueger's Tales Of Terror' novel series. Chip Parker is a good student and a model citizen, not to mention the new star quarterback of Springwood High. By all accounts, he should be the most popular kid in school. Why isn't he? Because Chip is the new kid in school, having moved into the old Thompson house on Elm Street, where a new series of murders took place. The only survivor, Alicia Norris, is now a high-school dropout who had her entire life changed by her ordeal and doesn't know how to move on. Chip's only solace lies in his brother Al, a fellow jock who enjoys teasing him that Freddy is his real father. He is only teasing, isn't he?
