Matt: Another of the watered-down, unrealistic 'Friday The 13th' novels from Black Flame. There isn't much good I can say about this novel, but the flashback segment in the prologue is worth reading, and arguably the highlight of the entire book.

After that, it all goes downhill. There are a couple of freaky goths obsessed with staying at Camp Crystal Lake, an FBI agent and gaudy billionaire obsessed with finding Jason, and a pain-in-the-ass rock star obsessed with owning Jason. That sentence alone should tell you all you need to know about this novel.

Stephen Hand, who wrote the very good novelizations of 'Freddy Vs. Jason' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' remake, must have been smoking some really good weed when he wrote this one, because in the end, it is just another run-of-the-mill piece of garbage book put out by a run-of-the-mill piece of garbage company. No wonder they went out of business.

This book continues the ruination of the Voorhees saga, so my advice to you is to avoid it at all costs!!! 0 out of 10.
