SEASON 2, EPISODE 23
THE MAESTRO

Former ballet star Anton Pascola (Colm Feore), now a leading choreographer, has
offered a place in his company to Grace Colwell (Cynthia Preston), the daughter of
Jack's old friend. The young ballerina is thrilled and a proud Jack, accompanied by
Grace, Ryan and Micki, attends a performance of Pascola's most recent ballet. To
their surprise, the advertised dancers do not perform that evening- it seems they
committed suicide the night before. After the performance, the group goes backstage
to meet with Anton, whose collection of antique music boxes catches Jack's eye. He
is particularly drawn to an extremely rare model known as a Symphonia, but when he
asks Pascola for permission to examine it, the choreographer rudely rebuffs him.
Later, when Jack observes Grace studying a videotape of Pascola's dancers in
rehearsal, he clearly hears the music from the Symphonia playing in the background.
Checking the manifest, Jack soon learns that the Symphonia is indeed cursed, causing
Anton's dancers to become possessed, and dance until they ultimately collapse and die.
