SEASON 1, EPISODE 19
THE QUILT OF HATHOR

To retrieve a deadly patchwork quilt, Micki and Ryan disguise themselves as
members of a strict religious sect, the Penitites. Although the quilt was stolen
from its original owner, Sarah Good (Helen Carscallen), they believe that the
quilt has remained within their community. Their worst suspicions are soon
confirmed, when two Penitite women die under mysterious circumstances during
their undercover visit. They begin to suspect that Effie Stokes (Kate Trotter), a
dowdy, bitter spinster, is using the quilt's power to kill off all rivals for the affections
of Rev. Josiah Grange (Scott Paulin), the Penitite leader who is ready for marriage.

EPISODE RATING: 4

A throwback episode in many ways, bringing to light religious cults...
Puzzled by Ryan's willingness to stay there, but a nice thriller nonetheless
