THE RATING
THE EXPERTS
Eric Morse: In this second installment, writer Matt Caddy goes no holds barred by hitting us with FBI agents, hockey players, and plane crashes. Though I found this second installment enjoyable to read, I also found a few basic believability issues that took away from the credibility of the story. But given that this is fan fiction and the fact that even at it's worst, Matt and A.J.'s work is far superior to most of the tacky fan fiction I've read, it is still a very commendable solo outing for Matt. But, still given the believability issues, I can only give it a 5.5. 5.5 out of 10.
A.J.: A worthy installment to the red hot, Lair novel series. I enjoyed all the twists and turns in the plot and Matt always left you on the edge of your seat with each action-packed chapter. The only thing that hurt this rating was the lack of time spent at Crystal Lake. Besides that, this novel kicked ass! Wait, can I say ass? 8.5 out of 10.
