THE RATING
THE LAIR EXPERTS
Matt: This novel was a little far-fetched, but ok. It strays away too far from the first two novels, and way too far from the 'Friday The 13th' formula. A lot of the things were too weird to actually be true (Jason's spirit affecting the carnival rides??? A dog possessed by Jason to dig up his mask??? Need I go on?). There was definitely more realism in the first two, and I really felt like a part of those novels. In the end, this one just doesn't have that. 4 out of 10.
A.J.: I only got one question...WHY?? Why would they have a carnival in the middle of nowhere? It doesn't make sense. Once again I'm going back to my theory on how the 'Friday The 13th' installments are close to being a real life situations and I do not see a stupid carnival being built on the Crystal Lake campgrounds. It's dumb. Besides that, the book was okay. Eric could have done better with the characters but this is definitely the worst of the series. 5 out of 10.
