The first of the Lair Of Horror's original 'Friday The 13th' novel series. A group of seven college students need a break from the perils of college life, so they decide to take a weekend getaway at the abandoned campsite of Camp Crystal Lake. Sure, they heard of the legend of Jason Voorhees, but they have nothing to fear because Jason is dead. However, their college professor, Chang Hon, purchased a cottage nearby and is desperate for some privacy. He tells the group that Jason is alive, hoping that it will scare them away. The students, out for a good time, ignore the professor and stay at camp, unaware of the horrors they are about to face.
