A.J.: Matt really outdid himself this time with his newest masterpiece: 'The Springwood Slasher'. I don't even remember how many times I was reading a chapter and thought to myself, 'Damn, this is just like a movie'. The characters were so real, I felt like I knew each of them personally, and Freddy was on his A-game. Matt mixed in the classic Freddy one-liners with some fresh comical new ones, all while keeping the evil sinister part of Freddy strong. The only thing keeping this novel from getting a 10 or even higher was that it cut too close to some of the exact same scenes from the original 'A Nightmare on Elm Street', but perhaps that was planned on purpose? Hmm...
