DID YOU KNOW
1. Doug Bradley, who originated the role of the Hell Priest/Lead Cenobite/Pinhead, said of Jamie Clayton's portrayal: "I'm a bit blown away by this! The clever re-design of the make-up; the shimmer of the "pin heads"; the palette; whatever that keyhole/locket/tracheotomy thing is at the throat. It's simple, subtle, disturbing and sexy. Everything it should be. Peace and Pain, Doug".
2. This film was made in Belgrade, Serbia.
3. Cues of composer Christopher Young's original score from the original 'Hellraiser' and 'Hellbound: Hellraiser II' are featured in the film.
4. The six configurations of the box represent its six gifts: Lament (life), Lore (knowledge), Lauderant (love), Liminal (sensation), Lazarus (resurrection) and Leviathan (power).
5. The idea of the pin-covered head Cenobite being female isn't as new as some viewers thought. Already in the original novella, 'The Hellbound Heart', the corresponding Cenobite was said to have a feminine voice, the only clue to a possible gender a human could perceive (making this movie truer to the text) , but even more recently, in the Boom! Studios' 'Hellraiser' comics, written by Clive Barker himself and released in the 2010s, Kirsty Cotton ended up turned into a female version of Pinhead when taking his place as leader of the Cenobites.
