![]() SEASON 2, EPISODE 26 COVEN OF DARKNESS Ryan becomes a helpless pawn in a witch's struggle to possess a powerful occult symbol known as the witch's ladder. The ladder had belonged to a coven of white witches known as 'The Right Hand Path'. After discovering that it was the cursed creation of Lewis Vendredi, they alerted Curious Goods. Micki and Jack arrive to retrieve the item, but later, a man in Gareth's group is kidnapped by members of Lewis' former coven and tortured until he reveals the whereabouts of the witch's ladder. Lysa, the deadly leader of Lewis' evil coven, visits Curious Goods and convinces Ryan that she's working against Lewis. As she and Ryan shake hands, her ring cuts his flesh. After wiping away the blood with her handkerchief, Lysa abruptly leaves. Late that night, Lysa sculpts a wax figure of Ryan, covers it with the bloodied handkerchief and stabs it with pins, while calling for the ladder's return. At Curious Goods, Ryan bolts out of bed and tries to get to the ladder from the vault, but he is stopped by Micki. Lysa then convinces Ryan that he must leave the store and stay with his friend Danny (Jason Blicker), While there, Danny is savagely murdered by members of Lysa's cult, but she tells Ryan that the ladder caused him to kill Danny and unless he gives it to her for safe keeping, he may murder again.
