Matt: This novel is basically nothing more than the re-telling of the movie. The movie wasn't bad enough, now we have to read it? While there was a lot more depth added to each character, the fact remains that the story is the same Jason X that we originally raved with an 8 rating, then brought it back to reality with a 2 when we realized how much it ripped off of Aliens. This book was a struggle to get through, and I shudder to think what the rest of them will be like. Are there really 5 of these? 2 out of 10.
