THE RATING

THE LAIR EXPERTS

Matt: This was one of the best novels ever written about Jason and the 'Friday The 13th' series. This is the one that started it all for the novels. It is a good continuation of the series. The only thing lacking was the fact that Mrs. Voorhees' head was alive, but it doesn't take away from the overall picture. This novel single-handedly got me back into the series after the debacle of 'Jason Goes To Hell' back in 1993. 8 out of 10.

A.J.: This is without a doubt the best book of the series. It was almost just like a 'Friday The 13th' movie with the exception of Jason, but I won't let that bring the rating of this book down due to the fact that every book excludes Jason. What stopped this book from being a 10 was the fact that Mrs. Voorhees' head was alive and talking and giving orders to The Hunter. 'Friday The 13th' always seemed real to me when I watched it, but when I read this book and got to that part it brought me back from non-fiction to fiction. 9.5 out of 10.
