TRIVIA

QUESTIONS

1. What film did the city plan to screen at the charity matinee?
2. The proceeds from the screening were meant to go to which charity?
3. What did Tiffany bring to Logan's house to comfort him?
4. How much did Jake pay the courier for his Good Guy doll?
5. What song did Junior and Chucky sing together at the end of the episode?

ANSWERS

1. The city planned to screen the original 'Frankenstein' (1931) at the charity matinee.
2. The proceeds from the screening were meant for the 'Better Days' charity.
3. Tiffany brought Swedish meatballs to Logan's house to comfort him.
4. Jake paid the courier $350 plus tip for his Good Guy doll.
5. Junior and Chucky sang 'We Got The Beat' by The Go-Go's.

DID YOU KNOW

1. As Chucky was gleefully used as a weapon, his face was splashed with more and more blood. Though it wasn't exactly the same, the patterns formed by the blood splatter distinctly evoked the scars sported by the popular patchwork Chucky from 'Bride Of Chucky' (1998) to 'Curse Of Chucky' (2013).

2. The ending of this episode confirmed the theory that multiple killer dolls had been lurking in Hackensack. An army of Chucky dolls had originally been part of the plan for 'Child's Play 3' (1991), but unfortunately, due to budget constraints, the idea never came to fruition.

3. The flashbacks depicted young Charles Lee Ray (Fiona Dourif) and Tiffany Valentine (Blaise Crocker) settling in Chicago. As such, it brought things closer than ever to the events of the original 'Child's Play' movie, which was of course set in and around that city.

4. The opening of the show featured letters of the killer doll's name made up of tombstones. Going a step further, each one was emblazoned with the name of a Chucky victim from both the show and the past films, including Sarah Pierce, Grace Poole, Eddie Caputo and even Redman.

5. As part of Chucky and Tiffany's killer plot, Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) brings Swedish meatballs to the Wheeler house to comfort Logan. As she meets Junior at the door, she tells him that they are Logan's favorite. This is a nod to 'Bride Of Chucky' (1998), when the dish was considered a favorite of Chucky's.

6. After killing his father, Junior started singing the lyrics to 'We Got The Beat' by The Go-Go's, with Chucky rapidly joining in. The moment was a callback to episode four, which subtly established it as a comfort song to Junior when he nervously underwent a medical procedure. According to creator Don Mancini, Junior's fondness for singing also stemmed from actor Teo Briones wanting to imbue the character with secret sides of himself that nobody before Chucky ever saw.

7. After Junior kills Logan, he sits back against the wall in shock while Chucky stands on the opposite side of the body to justify what he'd done. If you get a good look at Chucky, the proportion is all wrong, as he appears much larger than the Good Guy doll really is. It is obvious this is a stunt double and not the doll.

REFERENCES

FILMS

FRANKENSTEIN (1931)
In an effort to calm fears over the recent spate of murders and sinister accidents, Mayor Michelle Cross (Barbara Alyn Woods) announced a charity screening of the classic 'Frankenstein'. This film was chosen by Don Mancini to show his love and appreciation for old-school horror movies.

MAGIC (1978)
Junior killing his father by beating him to death with Chucky is a nod to 'Seed Of Chucky' (2004), when Tiffany inside Jennifer Tilly's body killed Fulvia by beating her to death with the Tiffany doll. This method was also utilized by Anthony Hopkins' Corky in the 1978 movie 'Magic'. There, the troubled magician and ventriloquist used his dummy to bash in his agent, Ben Greene (Burgess Meredith).

THE SHINING (1980)
During the Chicago 1988 flashback scene, the room that Charles Lee Ray and Tiffany have is number 237, the same number as the infamous room from 'The Shining'.

BOUND (1996)
When Junior tells Jennifer Tilly that he knows her, she responds, "Aren't you a little young to have seen Bound?", another film she was famous for.
