TRIVIA

QUESTIONS

1. What was Andy and Kyle's cover for hunting all the Chuckies?
2. How long did Andy keep his Chucky head alive at his cabin?
3. What was the make and model of the car Tiffany "acquired"?
4. What book did Chucky read when he drove away with Tiffany?
5. What movie inspired Devon to booby trap the house from Chucky?

ANSWERS

1. Andy and Kyle posed as census workers to hunt down the Chuckies.
2. Andy kept his Chucky head alive for four years.
3. Tiffany's car was a red 1960 Pontiac Parisian.
4. Chucky was reading 'The Ultimate Book Of Voodoo".
5. Devon was inspired by the movie 'Cape Fear'.

BLOOPERS

1. When Bree explains to Junior about her cancer diagnosis, she calls him 'Ginger' instead of 'Junior.

2. When Chucky attacks Jake in the bedroom after trying to convince Lexy to do it, there is an obvious size discrepancy between the stunt double and what the actual Chucky doll should be. It is more evident when he emerges into the hallway and gets zapped with a taser by Devon.

DID YOU KNOW

1. Kyle revealed that she killed the Chucky head that Andy kept locked in his cabin for four years.

2. Andy recounted to Kyle some of the lessons he'd learned at military school following the events of 'Child's Play 3'. He also shed some light on his understandably broken psyche and it is implied he still graduated despite the trauma Chucky caused.

3. Tiffany and Nica/Chucky play poker in this episode, which was inspired by actress Jennifer Tilly, who is also a professional poker player in real life. Fiona Dourif, who played Nica/Chucky, later said it was intimidating playing cards with a professional.

4. When Charles and Tiffany acquire her car and drive away, he is reading a book about voodoo, which he dismisses as a hobby.

5. Prior to having his throat cut by Tiffany, the car salesman praised the car by stating "a true classic never goes out of style". This is, of course, a famous line of Chucky in 'Bride Of Chucky' (1998), which is later repeated by Tiffany.

6. While trying to slip up Nica in her ruse, Tiffany questioned her about Niagara Falls. This was where Tiffany and Chucky reaffirmed their twisted love during 1998's 'Bride Of Chucky'. The moment came immediately after Tiffany had creatively killed another honeymooning couple, and led to the conception of Glen/Glenda from 'Seed Of Chucky' (2004). As such, Tiffany wasn't lying when she recalled the location as being central to many fond memories.

7. It's revealed that Andy escaped the mental institution that he was locked up in at the end of 'Cult Of Chucky' (2017).

8. Bree's death is very similar to that of Maggie in the original 'Child's Play' (1988), even falling on top of the car.

REFERENCES

FILMS

CAPE FEAR (1962)
The title of the episode was obviously a play on the movie 'Cape Fear', which was initially a 1962 thriller, then later remade by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro in 1991. Devon was shown watching the film before he and the others discuss and recreate specific moments of their battle plan to fight Chucky.

CHRISTINE (1983)
The car in the flashback that Chucky and Tiffany acquire is notably similar to the demonic 'Christine' (1983) from the Stephen King book and subsequent John Carpenter movie of the same name right down to its deadly legacy.

IT (1990)
While further discussing movies, Jake conveyed the horror genre might not have the same appeal after living through a real one. Devon promptly agreed, stating it would probably "take more than Goosebumps and Pennywise" to scare them. Pennywise is the monstrous antagonist of Stephen King's 'IT' and its various adaptations. The otherworldly creature, much like Chucky, has taken many forms.

GOOSEBUMPS (2015)
While discussing movies, Devon name-drops 'Goosebumps' in this episode, which is a nod to the book series by R.L. Stine that has long been a gateway into horror for younger readers. They have since spawned a TV show and two Jack Black-starring movies. One episode even features a killer doll named Slappy.
