WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
'Jason X' marked the fourth and final time that Kane Hodder donned the hockey mask. After that, he was inexplicably passed over for the role of Jason in 'Freddy vs. Jason'. Kane has gone on to movies such as 'B.T.K.', 'Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield', 'The Devil's Rejects', and '2001 Maniacs'. In addition, Kane has taken on another iconic role, that of Victor Crowley in the fledgling 'Hatchet' series. His upcoming projects include 'Sickle', 'Escape of the Living Dead', and 'Black Friday'.
After filming Jason X, Lexa Doig has gone on to star in several TV series for the Sci-Fi channel. These include 'Andromeda' (2000-2005), 'Stargate SG-1' (2005-2007) and 'Eureka' (2007-2008). She also appeared in the USA mini-series 'The 4400' in 2005. Lexa is married to Michael Shanks of 'Stargate SG-1', and the couple has two children.
After playing the android Kay-Em 14, Lisa Ryder returned to the TV show 'Andromeda', where she plays the character 'Beka Valentine' up until 2005. She most recently made a TV movie called 'Secret Lives' in 2005, playing 'Shelby', and appeared in the 2009 documentary 'His Name Was Jason'.
Peter Mensah went on to roles in Bruce Willis' 2003 action film, 'Tears Of The Sun', the Viggo Mortesen flick 'Hidalgo' in 2004, and the infamous role of the Messenger in '300' (2006). He most recently appeared in the 2008 comic-book sequel 'The Incredible Hulk' and the short-lived Fox drama 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' (2008). He is slated to appear in James Cameron's much anticipated 'Avatar', slated for release later in 2009.
Known for roles in 'Phase IV' and 'Urban Legends: Final Cut' prior to shooting 'Jason X', Chuck Campbell has continued to pursue an acting career, while doing some voiceover work for several computer games on the side. His most recent work includes work on the Sci-Fi Channel's 'Stargate SG-1' (2006), 'Sanctuary' (2008) and a recurring role on 'Stargate: Atlantis' (2005-present). He also recently appeared in the 2009 documentary 'His Name Was Jason'.
Melyssa Ade, who played Janessa in Jason X, has gone on to several TV guest appearances, including 'Mutant X' (2004), 'The Eleventh Hour' (2005), and 'Beautiful People' (2006). Her recent film credits include 'Strange Fiction' (2005) and 'Fatal Desire' (2006). Her most recent project was a guest appearance on the TV show 'Angela's Eyes' in 2006.
Derwin Jordan, Waylander from Jason X, has gone on to several TV guest appearances, including 'Mutant X' (2002), 'Bones' (2007), and 'Sons Of Anarchy' (2008). His most recent appearance came in the seventh season of the hit Fox show '24', where he played a security guard.
Jonathan Potts, who played boneheaded Professor Lowe in Jason, has also gone on to success on the small screen. His appearances include 'Queer As Folk' (2003), 'Reaper' (2008), and 'Supernatural' (2008). His most recent appearance came in a 2009 episode of the series 'Murdoch Mysteries'.
Dov Tiefenbach continues to be very busy with movies. Since 'Jason X', Dov appeared in movies like 'Knockaround Guys' (2001), 'Against The Ropes' (2004), and 'Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle' (2004). In his spare time, he plays in the bands 'Trucks Leaving' and 'Theresa Sound World'. Most recently, Dov appeared in a 2006 episode of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation', and has a film titled 'Polish Bar' set for release in 2009.
Genre vet David Cronenberg continues to be very active on the horror/sci-fi scene, both in acting and directing. On screen, he appeared in a 2003 episode of the popular 'Alias', as well as a cameo in the upcoming 'Happy Town', set for release in 2009. As a director, David directed two hard-edged Viggo Mortensen films, 'A History Of Violence' (2005) and 'Eastern Promises' (2007). Currently, David has three films in production: 'The Talking Cure', 'The Matarese Circle' and 'Cosmopolis'.
Following 'Jason X', Boyd Banks continues to act in horror. He played 'Tucker' in the 2004 remake of George Romero's classic 'Dawn Of The Dead' and appeared in 'Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle', along with Dov Tiefenbach. Boyd returned to another zombie film in 2005, this time in Romero's 'Land Of The Dead'. He has two films upcoming: 'Medium Raw' and 'Happy Town', both set for release later in 2009.
Since 'Jason X', Kristi Angus has appeared in several TV shows, including 'The Twilight Zone' (2003) and 'Andromeda' (2003) alongside Lexa Doig and Lisa Ryder. She has also been on the big screen, appearing in the comedies 'Connie and Carla' (2004), 'White Chicks' (2004) and 'The Pink Panther' remake in 2006. Her most recent appearance came in a 2008 episode of 'Instant Star', playing a character named Cassandra.
Yani Gellman, who played Stoney, Kinsa's boyfriend in Jason X, has gone on to various roles since the film. He appeared in both young adult dramas 'The Lizzie McGuire Movie' (2003) and 'Degrassi Goes Hollywood (2009), and also landed a recurring role on the TV soap opera 'The Young And The Restless', where he's played the role of Rafael Torres since 2008.
Dylan Bierk, who played Marine E-X Grunt Briggs in Jason X, has gone on to several TV guest appearances, including 'Mutant X' (2001), 'Andromeda' (2000-2002), and 'The Eleventh Hour' (2002). Her recent film credits include 'Webs' (2003), 'Thoughtcrimes' (2003) and the ESPN drama 'Playmakers' (2003). Her most recent project was a guest appearance on the TV show 'Wild Card' in 2003. She is the daughter of famous Canadian artist David Bierk, and her two brothers, Sebastian Bach and Zach Bierk, have also enjoyed success. Sebastian is the former lead singer of the band 'Skid Row', while Zach is currently a goaltender for the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.
Amanda Brugel, who played Marine E-X Grunt Geko in Jason X, has gone on to several TV guest appearances, including 'Wild Card' (2004), 'M.V.P.' (2008), and a recurring role on 'Paradise Falls' (2008-present). Her recent film credits include 'The Death Of Alice Blue' and 'Splice', both set for release in 2009.
Stuntman Steve Lucescu, Condor from Jason X, has over 260 stuntman credits to his name. He continues to be one the leading stuntmen in Canada. His list of stunt credits includes 'Wrong Turn' (2003), 'Dawn Of The Dead' (2004), 'Resident Evil: Apocalypse' (2004), 'Silent Hill' (2006) and 'The Incredible Hulk' (2008). He most recently served as stunt coordinator for the films 'The Time Traveler's Wife' and 'Whiteout', both of which are set for release in 2009. He was also stunt coordinator for the upcoming sequel 'The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day', which just completed filming and is expected to be in theaters in early 2010.
Todd Farmer continues to be active writing many proposed screenplays and having cameo appearances in those films. His most recent screenplays include the two 'Messengers' films and the 'My Bloody Valentine' remake (2009). His latest project 'Clock Tower' is set for release in theaters in 2010. He also appeared in the 2009 documentary 'His Name Was Jason'.
