REVENGE AT CAMP BLOOD
CHAPTER 28- THE BACKUP HAS ARRIVED

All at once, multiple gunfire was heard, connecting with Jason from all directions.

Growling, Jason couldn’t move. He was being filled full of lead, as the cliché goes, and there was nothing he could do about it except take it.

In between the gunfire, Kevin could have sworn he heard Krista’s voice saying “Get out of there Kevin!”, so he didn’t waste any time getting clear of the gunfire and dragging himself out of harm’s way.

The gunfire rocked Jason, and sent him sprawling backward toward the hole in the dock.

The gunshots varied in caliber, but they all hit Jason with deadly accuracy.

Jason was one step from the hole and leaning toward it badly, when Agent Crowley appeared from behind a bush carrying a shotgun.

He got in range and blasted Jason right in the chest, sending Jason crashing into the hole—and back into the lake.

After the splash in the water, Crowley came running toward it carrying a stick of dynamite.

He quickly lit the fuse and dropped it into the hole, yelling “Hit the Deck!”

A few seconds later, a huge blast rocked the entire camp, blowing the entire dock up and sending shockwaves all throughout the surrounding area.

And then, silence.

As the smoke cleared, Agent Crowley was the first to get back up.

“Nothing like a little C-4 to get the job done,” he proclaimed as various cheers were heard nearby.

“Kevin!” Krista cheered, running to him and kissing him softly on the lips.

“Baby, what happened to you?” Kevin replied with tears in his eyes. “I thought I’d lost you.”

“It’s okay,” she replied. “On the way back, I ran into my friends Agent Crowley and Agent Kunkle. They told me they had a plan, but I needed to keep quiet. So I did.”

“You used me as bait?” Kevin asked.

“Uhhh, sort of,” She answered.

“Clever,” Kevin responded. “That was our original plan from the beginning. I guess, in a twisted way, it all worked out in the end.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Krista said.

“Wait a minute, wait a minute!” Agent Crowley interjected. “We have to find a body. We are taking a body with us back to Washington.”

“Why don’t you look in those woods, you can have your pick of about ten, all left by Jason,” Kevin stated.

“No, not those bodies,” Crowley said. “We want THE body” (referring to Jason).

“Yeah,” Kunkle stated, coming over. “We were told to bring back the body of Jason Voorhees or the case would never be closed.”

“I’m not looking for it,” Kevin yelled. “I am happy to be alive.”

“He’s right,” Krista added. “You are all here. You saw what we did to him. He’s dead. Case closed.”

“I am not leaving here without his body!” Crowley fired back. “Martin! Smith! Go check for his body!”

Within an instant, Agents Martin and Smith, who came along as backup, walked over to where the dock was, and began searching for the remains of Jason.

They couldn’t find any.

“Sir,” Agent Martin stated. “There’s nothing here. We blew him sky high.”

“I’ll be the one to determine that!” Crowley yelled. “Now keep looking!”

“Be careful,” Krista stated.

“Why?” Agent Smith answered back. “We aren’t even gonna find anything.”

“Just do it!” Kevin interjected. “You don’t know Jason Voorhees like we do.”

“Alright, whatever,” Martin stated as he and Smith cautiously made their way to the edge of the lake.

“Those were some powerful explosives,” Kevin told Agent Crowley. “What else did you bring?”

“I have a whole bag of goodies back in my car,” Crowley replied with a smirk.

“And just what might be in that ‘bag of goodies’?” Kevin asked.

“A little of this, a little of that, it’s top secret,” Crowley responded, before turning his attention back to the lake. “Did you find anything?”

“No sir,” Agent Smith yelled back. “There’s nothing here. He’s dead!”

Just as he said that, Jason emerged from the lake with a huge splash, causing Agents Smith and Martin to draw their guns and open fire.

However, this time, the gunshots had no effect on him, as he grabbed Agent Smith by the head and squeezed tightly.

There was nothing he could do, as he just couldn’t break Jason’s death grip.

The others screamed as Jason squeezed his head so hard, his brains shot out the top of his head and into the air, splattering them all over the beach.

Agent Martin, emptying his pistol into Jason, stepped up next as he jumped on his back.

That didn’t phase Jason at all, because he flipped him over his head, somersaulting Martin to the ground with a thud.

Martin had no idea what was coming next, as Jason picked up his machete and rammed it right through his chest.

With the others panicking, Jason continued his assault, viciously stabbing him repeatedly with the machete like a piece of meat in a butcher’s shop.

“Now what do we do?” Crowley asked, looking right at Kevin.

“Your bag of goodies,” Kevin answered.

“What about it?” Crowley asked again.

“We need it,” Kevin insisted.

“What part of it?” Crowley asked.

“All of it,” Krista informed him. “And then some.”

Just then, Jason finished chopping up Agent Martin and immediately turned his attention to them.

“Uhh, you better think of something fast!” Kunkle yelled, emptying her gun into Jason from long range, hoping to slow him down.

It didn’t work.

He just kept coming, picking up speed as he got oh so close to them.
