RETURN TO CRYSTAL LAKE
CHAPTER 15- DEADLY PASSAGES

"Ouch, damn branch!" Krista yelled as she tripped over a fallen tree.

"You ok?" Kevin asked as he hurried to her side.

The two were hiking for nearly a half-hour and there was still no sign of any cave on this mountain.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I just need to rest a little bit," Krista replied as she sat up on a nearby log.

"Yeah, good idea," Kevin agreed, sitting next to her. "I'm starting to wish that we never even took this hike up here."

Krista didn't reply.

She just took a drink of water and then handed the bottle to Kevin.

From where they were sitting, they had a clear view of the lake and all of its surroundings. So, after a few minutes of staring at the scenery, the couple got up and continued their hike, when Krista spotted what looked like a huge rock in the distance.

"Hey, do you think that could be the cave?!" Krista exclaimed as she pointed to the rock.

"I don't know, let's go find out," Kevin replied, sounding equally excited as the two took off in a mad dash to the rock.

When they reached it they were relieved to see that it was in fact the cave they were searching for.

The entrance was triangular shaped and it was extremely dark inside.

"Yes, I can't believe we found it!" Kevin yelled, staring at the entrance.

"I know, this is so amazing," Krista panted, out of breath.

Kevin looked down at her and felt his heart melt.

Then Kevin began to think. This girl is so perfect for me. She is almost a carbon copy of Jessica.

Then, without even knowing what he was doing, he was all of a sudden kissing her.

Krista, equally as shocked, did not know how to react. As shocked as she was that Kevin threw himself at her, she was excited at the same time. Everything clicked so perfect as their lips met and their bodies seemed to melt together as one.

When the kiss finally ended, neither one said a word. They just held hands and stared inside the cave.

Krista then finally broke the silence, "Should we go in or what?" she asked.

"I don't know, it seems really dark and I don't have a flashlight," Kevin replied, taking a step inside the cave and peering around.

All he could make out were some stalagmites hanging down from the ceiling. He couldn't see further than about 15 feet inside.

Then, all of a sudden, a gleaming flash of bright light lit the cave up, revealing its brilliance.

Surprised, Kevin turned around to see Krista shining a flashlight inside the cave with a smile on her face.

"Shall we?" she asked, still smiling.

Kevin just smiled back at her as she handed him the flashlight and they made their way inside the cave.

***

Meanwhile back at the dock of Camp Crystal Lake, Emmy was sprawled out on a beach towel in her bikini attempting to get a suntan.

Sean was out in the water splashing around like a little five-year-old, picking up rocks and throwing them further out into the lake.

He had hooked up a portable boom box in a tree so sound would carry further and was blasting "World War 3" by the Ruff Ryders.

Nikki was perched on a nearby rock painting her toenails.

"Hey Sean," Emmy called to him out in the lake.

"Yeah?" Sean asked.

"I need to go grab something out of my cabin real fast. I'll be back in a couple minutes," she yelled as she stood up on the dock.

Sean didn't appear to hear her, either by choice or the music was too loud. Nonetheless, Emmy slipped on a pair of sandals and jogged up the trail back to the horseshoe of cabins.

Nikki looked out at Sean and for the first time she noticed what a nice body he had. She had wasted so much time on Scott and Kevin to even notice him. She licked her lips as an idea sprang into her head.

"Aghhhh!" Nikki screamed as she stood up in a complete panic. She looked out at Sean, who seemed to hear her because he was swimming in to shore fast.

When he reached Nikki, she was standing on top of the rock that she was sitting on.

"What's wrong?" Sean asked, worried.

"I saw a snake," Nikki replied. "Help me please!" she pleaded.

"Alright, calm down, where did it go?" Sean asked, searching the nearby ground.

"Oh it went um, over in them bushes," Nikki said, pointing to a little patch of bushes adjacent to the lake.

Sean slowly approached the bushes, ready for action, when Nikki screamed again, this time making Sean jump.

"I saw it again! It went into the water!" Nikki panted.

"Good, you just about gave me a heart attack," Sean said jokingly as he picked up a towel to dry off.

"Oh thank you so much for saving me," Nikki said in her best helpless voice. "That snake might have bitten me and I could of died if you weren't here."

At the same time, Nikki continued to move closer to Sean.

"Hey, that's what I'm here for," Sean answered, not really knowing how to reply.

"Well, you know what, I owe you something," Nikki said, rubbing her hands on his chest.

"No, you don't, it's ok, I am just making sure everything is alright," Sean replied.

"Everything is just fine now, thanks to you," Nikki said, leaning up and kissing him softly on the lips.

Sean loved every minute of it, kissing her back twice as hard.

When he opened his eyes, he was wishing he didn't, because jogging down the trail toward them was Emmy.

He waited until she got closer, then pushed Nikki off.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Sean screamed at Nikki. "Get away from me, I'm not going to let you seduce me like you did Scott!"

Nikki just looked at him stunned, then turned around to see Emmy standing right behind her.

"What the hell are you trying to do, you bitch?!" Emmy yelled.

"I wasn't doing anything, I swear," Nikki frantically yelled back.

Emmy didn't believe her and grabbed a handful of her long blonde hair and started to pull as she punched Nikki in the face with her other hand.

"You bitch! I'll fucking kill you for messing with my man!" Emmy shouted, continuing to pound on Nikki.

She managed to muscle Nikki to the ground when Sean pulled her off, trying to calm her down.

"That's for what you did to Ashley and Scott too, you slut!" Emmy yelled, leaving with Sean (and a handful of Nikki's hair.)

Nikki was too stunned to move.

She couldn't believe what just happened, reaching up and wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth (and feeling her new bald spot) as she watched Sean and Emmy sit back down on the dock.

Nikki got up and ran back to her cabin before anyone else saw her like this.

She got back to cabin three and slammed the door shut behind her, before throwing her head down into her pillows and crying her eyes out.

She wanted to leave this dirty hellhole so bad.

She was going to find Scott and make him drive her home.

Even if I have to hold a gun to his head, I'm getting the hell out of here, she thought to herself, getting up off of the bed.

She started to leave to find Scott, when she noticed that her cabin door was open.

Damn, I could have sworn I closed that behind me, she thought, slowly walking toward the door.

Just then the door slammed shut again.

Nikki screamed, but it was muffled by a powerful hand covering her mouth.

She never even knew who it was, because at that same instant, Jason Voorhees shoved a long hunting knife into the back of her head and slammed her up against the cabin door. He then picked Nikki up off her feet and drove the knife in further until she was pinned to the door like a poster.

Jason now had his own personal centerfold.
