SIMILARITIES

1. The characters are derived from the original 'A Nightmare On Elm Street', only some of the names have changed.

2. Nancy working at The Springwood Diner is similar to Alice in 'The Dream Master', who worked at The Crave Inn.

3. When Freddy appears to Dean, the first shot of his claw is similar to when Freddy makes his first appearance in 'Freddy's Revenge' on the school bus and drags his claw along the seats.

4. The cemetery scenes following Dean's death are similar to scenes filmed in the original 'Nightmare On Elm Street', as well as 'The Dream Master' and 'Wes Craven's New Nightmare'.

5. Kristen seeing the little girl (a younger version of herself) is similar to several of the Elm Street films, where little girls can be seen jumping rope, singing the Freddy rhyme, and riding a tricycle.

6. The wall attack with Freddy hovering over Nancy's bed is the same scene as the original film.

7. Nancy being an artist and sketching pictures of Freddy is similar to both Robert Englund in 'New Nightmare' and Tash in our novel, 'The Springwood Slasher'.

8. Kristen freaking out in class is similar to when Nancy did the same thing in the original, when she burned her arm to stay awake.

9. Kristen, distressed, driving home is similar to when Kristen drives to pick up Alice and Rick in 'The Dream Master'.

10. Kristen's death scene is almost exactly the same as Tina's death scene in the original film.

11. Jesse, like Rod in the original, runs away and is arrested following his girlfriend's death.

12. The police cars in this film look awfully similar to the ones used in the remake of 'Friday The 13th' in 2009. Can you tell Platinum Dunes produced both films?

13. Nancy and Quentin look up dreams and Freddy Krueger online like the group of teens did in 'Freddy Vs. Jason'.

14. The character names of Quentin and Gwen are similar to that of Quentin from our novel, 'The Springwood Slasher', and Gwen from our novel, 'Westin Hills'. Hmm...think they read our work and got away with stealing?

15. The tub scene is similar to that in the original film, only this time Nancy doesn't get pulled underwater.

16. Nancy setting an alarm on her cell phone is basically an updated version of when Nancy set her manual alarm clock in the original film.

17. Freddy's original death scene is similar to when the Elm Street parents burned him in the original.

18. When Freddy runs while on fire, it is similar to when he runs on fire in Nancy's basement in the original film.

19. Nancy sees Kristen in a clear bodybag being dragged away down the hall, just like Nancy saw Tina in the same capacity in the original. Gosh, couldn't they come up with their own stuff?

20. Nancy burning herself with a cigarette lighter is similar to when Jennifer burned herself with a cigarette in 'Dream Warriors' to stay awake.

21. Quentin is a member of the swim team, just like Yvonne was in 'The Dream Child'.

22. Freddy appearing as a doctor is similar to when Freddy did the same thing in 'The Dream Master', wanting to "draw some blood".

23. When Nancy and Quentin see Freddy in the road and crash, it is similar to when Alice and Dan do the same thing in 'The Dream Master'.

24. Nancy and Quentin finding Freddy's lair is similar to when Nancy found it in the original film.

25. Nancy hiding in the closet is similar to the film 'Halloween', where Jamie Lee Curtis hid from Michael Myers.

26. Freddy yelling "BOO" at Nancy is similar to when Freddy does the same thing in our novel, 'The Springwood Slasher'. Damn, I hate getting ripped off.

27. Nancy running slowly through blood down the hallway is similar to the original film, where she ran through the goop trying to go upstairs.

28. Freddy delivers several one-liners that were similar to those portrayed by Robert Englund in the original series. Among them, the most lame were "I'm your boyfriend now, Nancy" and "How's this for a wet dream?" They just didn't fit the way they were forced into the script.

29. When Freddy says, "your mouth says no, but your body says yes", it is similar to when Freddy tells Lori something similar in 'Freddy Vs. Jason'.

30. At the end, Nancy tells Freddy, "You're in my world now, bitch!". This is similar to when Lori tells Freddy, "Welcome to my world, bitch!" in 'Freddy Vs. Jason'.

31. The ending of the film, where Freddy attacks Nancy's mother and pulls her through a mirror, is similar to the original film, where Freddy attacks Nancy's mother and pulls her through the window on the door.
