THE RATING

THE LAIR EXPERTS

Matt: I didn't know what to expect when I picked up 'Suffer The Children'. Given how bad the Jason X books were at the time, my expectations were low, but author David Bishop really gave it a solid effort. The characters were done well, even though they were very similar to mine in 'The Springwood Slasher'. I wonder if they read mine first? Oh well. The only thing dragging this down is Freddy. He is at his best at times, but there are other times it just doesn't feel like the Freddy character. Some of the things he says or does just aren't Freddy-like. And the whole taking over people's body thing didn't work in Part 2, so why would it work here? But, on the whole, it wasn't bad. 5.5 out of 10.
